US Officials admit to bribing Palestinians ‘to boost public support’ of peace talks

Secretary of State of John Kerry announced a $75 million dollar boost in “aid” to be handed over to the Palestinians while meeting with Mahmoud Abbas today. This is on top of the $25 million dollars already provided by the United States taxpayer, as reported by the UK based Independent.
In the short article, the following sentence was written:
“US officials say the aid is designed to boost Palestinian public support for faltering peace talks with Israel by showing them tangible benefits from the process.”
Am I crazy or is this an obvious bribe?
While the “aid” is said to be designated for “to create Palestinian jobs and help them improve roads, schools and other infrastructure,” the purpose of the aid is really to “boost Palestinian public support for faltering peace talks…”?
Notably, the “aid” comes as the Palestinians are not necessarily acting in the best interests of America. I observed the following today at the Examiner:
Isn’t it strange that one of the most prominent and outspoken advocates for military intervention in Syria, John Kerry, (who was against wars before he was for them) would be offering tens of millions of US taxpayer dollars to the Palestinian Authority, who pledged to remove their own fighters from “Syrian rebel ranks,” all while updating their textbooks for young people to foster the hatred of America’s ally, Israel?
The New York Times reported on Sunday that textbooks will be changed for young teens “as part of a broader push to infuse the next generation with its militant ideology.”
